Common Questions
Where can I download or update the latest FabTune app? Updates
Use the official Google Play Store link:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fabtune.music.player
If FabTune does not appear when you search the Play Store, open the direct link above. Installing from the official listing helps ensure you receive the latest fixes and avoids problems from old, modified, or unofficial APK files.
Why is search showing "No result found" or not showing songs? Search
This can happen when YouTube changes its API structure, which may temporarily affect FabTune search results, song results, albums, library loading, and playback.
- Update FabTune from the official Play Store link.
- Restart the app after updating.
- Try a different song title and confirm your internet connection is stable.
- If search still fails, email us with a screenshot, the song name, your device model, Android version, and FabTune app version.
When a fixed build is submitted to Google Play, it may take several days for Google's review process to finish before the update becomes available to everyone.
Albums keep loading or songs do not start. What should I do? Playback
Album loading and playback issues can be related to the same service changes that affect search. This is not caused by your premium purchase.
- Update FabTune from Google Play.
- Close FabTune completely and reopen it.
- Try switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data.
- If only one album or song fails, send us the exact title so we can check it.
My Liked Songs, playlists, or downloaded songs disappeared. Can I recover them? Library
If your songs are still visible in YouTube Music but not in FabTune, the issue is usually sync or API related. We have fixed this type of issue from our side before, and the fix is delivered through an app update.
- Make sure you are signed in with the same Google account used for your YouTube Music library.
- Update FabTune from the official Play Store listing.
- Open FabTune again and allow the library to refresh.
- If the library is still empty, email us with your account email, app version, screenshots, and whether the songs are visible in YouTube Music.
FabTune opens to a blank screen or pages stay empty. How can I fix it? Updates
A blank screen can happen after an update or when old app data conflicts with a new build.
- Install the latest FabTune update from Google Play.
- Restart your phone and open FabTune again.
- If the issue remains, go to Android Settings → Apps → FabTune → Storage → Clear cache.
- If needed, uninstall and reinstall FabTune from the official Play Store link.
If reinstalling is the only thing that temporarily works, please email support with your device model, Android version, app version, and a screen recording.
FabTune crashes, does not respond, or cannot open. What details should I send? Playback
First, update FabTune from the Play Store because many crash fixes are released through app updates. If the crash continues, send us:
- The crash report file if FabTune offers one.
- Your device model and Android version.
- Your FabTune app version.
- What you were doing when the crash happened, such as opening the app, playing a song, using Android Auto, or connecting Bluetooth.
- A screenshot or screen recording if possible.
FabTune crashes or does not appear in Android Auto. What should I check? Playback
If Android Auto crashes, update FabTune first and send the crash report if it still happens.
If FabTune does not appear in Android Auto, enable Android Auto developer settings and allow unknown sources:
- Open Android Auto settings.
- Tap the version several times to enable developer settings.
- Open the three-dot menu and choose Developer settings.
- Enable Unknown sources.
Downloaded songs stop after a few minutes or seem incomplete. What can I try? Downloads
If a song appears downloaded but stops during offline playback, the file may not have downloaded completely.
- Delete that downloaded song from FabTune.
- Connect to a stable Wi-Fi or mobile data network.
- Download the song again and keep FabTune open until the download finishes.
- Confirm your phone has enough free storage and battery saver is not blocking background activity.
- If the same song still stops, send the song title, app version, and a screen recording.
Can I search for a song by pasting a YouTube link? Search
Yes. Copy the YouTube song or video link and paste it into the FabTune search bar. FabTune should detect the link and allow you to play the song or save it to your playlist.
If the link is not detected, send support the exact link and a short screen recording of what happens after you paste it.
Why can't some Malay or regional songs be played? Playback
Some songs may fail because of availability, source changes, regional restrictions, or playback errors from the music provider.
Please send us the song names and tell us what you see: unknown error, keeps loading, skips automatically, or does not start at all. Also include your device model, Android version, and FabTune app version.
Music is playing but there is no sound. How do I fix it? Playback
- Check your phone media volume, not only ringtone volume.
- Disconnect Bluetooth headphones or speakers, then try the phone speaker.
- Close and reopen FabTune.
- Try a different song to confirm whether the issue affects one track or all tracks.
- Update FabTune from Google Play.
If there is still no sound, email us with your device model, Android version, app version, whether Bluetooth was connected, and a screen recording.
How can I use my premium purchase on another device? Premium
FabTune premium is linked to the Google Play account that was used at the time of purchase. The in-app login is mainly for YouTube Music sync, such as playlists and liked songs. It does not verify your premium purchase by itself.
To use premium on another device:
- Open the Google Play Store app on the other device.
- Tap your profile picture in the top-right corner.
- Check which Google account is currently selected.
- If it is not the same account used to purchase FabTune premium, tap the account switcher and select the correct Google account.
- If the correct account is not listed, tap Add another account and sign in with the purchase email.
- Install FabTune from the official Play Store listing.
- Open FabTune and go to the Premium screen.
- Tap Restore to activate premium access on that device.
If you are not sure which Google account was used for the purchase, check your receipt:
- Open Gmail or the email app you use for your Google account.
- Search for emails from Google Play using keywords like FabTune, Google Play receipt, or order receipt.
- Open the receipt email and check the Google account that received it.
- You can also open the Play Store app, tap your profile picture, then go to Payments & subscriptions → Budget & history to look for the FabTune purchase.
If Restore still does not work, email FabTune support with your purchase receipt or Google Play order ID. This helps us verify the purchase and assist you with restoring premium access.
I am a premium user. Are search or playback issues related to my purchase? Premium
No. Search, playback, album loading, blank screen, and API-related issues are technical issues and are not caused by your premium purchase.
If your premium access is missing after installing the latest official FabTune app, send your purchase receipt to support. We can help verify and restore premium access manually when needed.
Support said the fix is submitted, but I still do not see an update. Why? Updates
After we submit a fixed version, Google Play reviews the update before making it available. This can take several days. During that time, reinstalling may still install the older version.
Open the direct Play Store link and check again later. Once the update is available, install it and restart FabTune.
What should I include when contacting FabTune support? Support
Please include enough information for us to reproduce the issue:
- A short explanation of the problem.
- Your device model and Android version.
- Your FabTune app version.
- Screenshots or a screen recording.
- Song, album, playlist, or YouTube link involved, if relevant.
- Crash report, if the app generated one.
- Purchase receipt, only for premium restoration problems.
