Privacy Policy for FabTune

FabTune ("FabTune," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the iOS version of the FabTune mobile application ("App").
This Privacy Policy applies to the iOS version of FabTune. Features and data practices of versions offered on other platforms may differ.
1. Our Approach to Privacy
FabTune is designed to minimize the collection of personal information by FabTune itself.
Most information associated with your use of the App — including app preferences, saved library information, listening history, search history, queue information, cached content, and other app settings — is stored locally on your device.
FabTune does not offer or require creation of a FabTune account.
FabTune does not operate its own backend server and does not use third-party analytics services.
FabTune does not sell or rent your personal information.
FabTune uses YouTube API Services, including the YouTube Data API v3 and YouTube's official embedded player, to provide content search, discovery, metadata, playlists, and audiovisual playback. As described below, certain information is transmitted to YouTube and Google when these features are used. Advertising may also be shown within the YouTube embedded player. FabTune does not use Apple's Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA).
2. Information Stored on Your Device
FabTune may store information locally on your device to provide its features and remember your preferences.
This may include:
- App settings and appearance preferences.
- Saved library information and playlists.
- Listening and search history.
- Queue and playback state.
- Cached artwork and temporary files.
- App review eligibility information.
- Local diagnostic information.
Information stored only on your device is not intentionally transmitted to a FabTune-operated server. FabTune does not operate a server that receives this information.
You can remove or clear locally stored information using controls provided within the App where available.
Removing the App generally removes information stored within the App's application container.
3. No Account Creation and No Sign-In
FabTune does not provide in-app account creation and does not create or maintain a FabTune user account.
You are not required to register with FabTune, create a username, or provide an email address in order to use the App.
The iOS version of FabTune does not include any sign-in or account-connection feature for FabTune or for any third-party service. FabTune does not request, receive, or store any third-party account credentials.
Because FabTune does not create or maintain user accounts, there is no FabTune account that needs to be deleted.
4. YouTube API Services and Embedded Player
FabTune uses YouTube API Services, including the YouTube Data API v3 and YouTube's official embedded player. These services are used to provide features such as content search, discovery, video and channel information, playlists, metadata, thumbnails, recommendations, and audiovisual playback. When you use features that rely on YouTube API Services, information may be transmitted to YouTube and Google. Depending on the feature, this may include:
- Search terms you enter.
- Video, channel, and playlist identifiers.
- Information about content requested or played.
- Interactions with the YouTube embedded player, such as play, pause, or skip actions.
- Technical network information normally associated with an internet request, including your IP address and request headers.
- Device, browser, cookie, or similar information processed by YouTube's embedded player.
- Information relating to advertisements displayed within the YouTube player.
FabTune does not request or store your YouTube or Google account login credentials and does not provide YouTube account sign-in. FabTune plays YouTube audiovisual content using YouTube's official embedded player. FabTune does not download, convert, extract, or separately obtain YouTube audio or video streams.
Advertising may be displayed within the YouTube embedded player and is provided by Google or YouTube, not by FabTune.
By using features provided through YouTube API Services, your use of YouTube is also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service:

5. YouTube Data API Metadata
FabTune uses the YouTube Data API v3 to retrieve publicly available YouTube information required for App features.
Information retrieved through the YouTube Data API may include:
- Video titles and identifiers.
- Channel names and identifiers.
- Playlist information and identifiers.
- Thumbnails and artwork URLs.
- Video duration and other public video metadata.
- Other public metadata necessary to provide search, discovery, library, queue, and playback-related features.
YouTube metadata may be temporarily cached or stored locally on your device where necessary to provide App features such as your library, playlists, listening history, queue, and recommendations.
FabTune does not use the YouTube Data API to access private YouTube account information and does not request YouTube account authorization.
The iOS version of FabTune does not include a lyrics feature and does not request or display third-party lyrics.
6. Diagnostics and Logs
FabTune may create diagnostic or crash information locally if the App encounters an error.
Diagnostic information may include:
- Time of an error.
- Error messages.
- Technical stack information.
- App version.
- Operating-system information.
- Other information reasonably necessary to diagnose the problem.
Locally generated diagnostic reports are not automatically uploaded to FabTune. FabTune does not use a crash-reporting or analytics service.
If you choose to share diagnostic information using a feature such as Share Logs, Apple's system sharing interface allows you to choose the recipient or service. Information is transmitted only as a result of the sharing action you initiate.
You should review diagnostic information before sharing it, because logs may contain technical details related to what the App was doing when an issue occurred.
7. Communications With FabTune
If you contact FabTune by email or another support method, we may receive information that you voluntarily provide, including:
- Your email address.
- Message contents.
- Attachments.
- Screenshots.
- Diagnostic information.
- Other information included in your communication.
We use this information to respond to your request, provide support, investigate technical problems, protect the App from abuse, and improve FabTune.
Support communications are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for these purposes or as required to comply with applicable legal obligations.
8. How We Use Information
Information handled by FabTune may be used to:
- Provide and maintain App features.
- Save preferences and local information.
- Respond to requests you initiate.
- Provide requested online information.
- Diagnose technical problems.
- Improve reliability and performance.
- Protect against abuse and security threats.
- Provide customer support.
- Comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not use information collected for one purpose for a materially different purpose without obtaining any additional permission required by applicable law.
9. Sharing of Information
FabTune may transmit or disclose information only where reasonably necessary to:
- Provide a feature you request.
- Communicate with an external service required to deliver that feature, including YouTube.
- Respond to your support request.
- Comply with applicable law or valid legal process.
- Protect the rights, safety, and security of FabTune or its users.
- Complete a legitimate business transfer involving FabTune.
FabTune does not sell or rent personal information.
FabTune does not share personal information with data brokers.
10. Tracking and Advertising
Advertising may be shown within the YouTube embedded player during playback. This advertising is served by Google, not by FabTune. FabTune does not operate its own advertising and does not place advertising outside the embedded player.
FabTune uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced embed mode, in which advertising is not personalized using data collected about you across other companies' apps and websites.
FabTune does not use Apple's IDFA and does not link information from FabTune with information collected from other companies' apps or websites for advertising or advertising-measurement purposes.
Accordingly, FabTune does not use information to track you as that term is defined for Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework.
If advertising or tracking practices materially change in a future version, this Privacy Policy and the App's applicable privacy disclosures will be updated before those practices are introduced.
11. Data Retention
Information stored locally remains on your device until it is deleted using App controls, replaced during normal App operation, or removed with the App.
Support communications and information voluntarily supplied to FabTune are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide support, investigate issues, protect our rights, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations.
Third-party services, including Google, may retain information independently according to their own privacy policies and legal requirements.
12. Your Choices and Privacy Rights
You can control many privacy-related features directly within FabTune.
Depending on the features available to you, you may:
- Clear listening or search history.
- Remove locally stored content.
- Clear applicable cached or saved information.
- Uninstall the App.
Depending on where you live, applicable law may also give you rights relating to access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent concerning personal information that FabTune controls.

Because FabTune information remains locally on your device and FabTune operates no server, FabTune may not possess or be technically capable of identifying particular locally stored information as belonging to a specific person.
We will nevertheless respond to valid privacy requests to the extent reasonably and technically possible.
Requests relating to information independently controlled by Google or another external service provider should be submitted directly to that provider.
13. Children's Privacy
FabTune is not specifically directed to children under 13 years of age, or the minimum age required by applicable law for independent use of online services.
FabTune does not knowingly collect personal information from children for its own independent purposes in violation of applicable law.
If you believe that a child has provided personal information to FabTune in circumstances that violate applicable law, contact us at fabtune.fabbl@gmail.com so that we can investigate and take appropriate action.
External services used through FabTune, including YouTube, have their own minimum-age and parental-consent requirements.
14. Security
FabTune uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information it handles.
These safeguards include encrypted network connections when communicating with supported online services.
No electronic storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Accordingly, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
15. International Processing
Third-party service providers used by FabTune, including Google, may process information in countries other than the country in which you live.
Where applicable law requires additional protections for international processing, FabTune and its service providers rely on appropriate safeguards and legal mechanisms.
16. Third-Party Services
FabTune relies on external services and technologies to provide online functionality, playback, metadata, artwork, and other requested information. The principal such service is YouTube, operated by Google.
Those services process information independently under their own privacy policies and terms.
FabTune only uses or shares information with third parties for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
This Privacy Policy does not govern a third-party website, application, or service that you independently access outside FabTune.
17. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when FabTune's features, technologies, third-party services, legal requirements, or information-handling practices change.
The current version will be published at the Privacy Policy URL with an updated Last Updated date.
If a change materially affects how personal information is collected, used, or shared, we will provide additional notice or obtain additional consent where required.
